An outdated image browser
gBrowser has unfortunately not been updated for the last two years, so it's main features feel a bit old by now. Still, we've decided to have it on the site, just in case users might like it.
gBrowser is a fairly basic image viewer which restores your Finder view somewhat clumsily. The left side of the interface shows an explorer style view of your image folders and the main part of the interface previews the images.
You can drag the useful image slider at the top to zoom in and out of images.
gBrowser doesn't offer any editing features but you can add some sort of drop shadow, sharpening and outline effects to your images.
Double clicking on any image will open it up in a separate window. Now one of the much touted features of the program is supposed to be the slideshow, but sadly enough, every time we tried to launch it, the whole program crashed.
We even tried with only a few images and the same happened again. We therefore suggest limiting yourself to previewing images when using gBrowser.
gBrowser is a very basic image viewer, lacking in functions compared to what you find nowadays. Let's hope it soon gets a much needed update.Changes
